Matt Whitworth
Matt Whitworth serves as President of The Whitworth Group, providing overall leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the organization while personally consulting with churches across the country in one of the most significant decisions they will ever make—pairing incredible ministry leaders and candidates with amazing churches.
As President, Matt leads the organization with a relentless focus on prayer, relationships, and excellence. His passion is simple: to impact the local church in a positive way by helping churches build a healthy, thriving staff team that will influence their communities for generations.
With a background spanning full-time ministry, executive business leadership, and church consulting, Matt brings a unique perspective to every church he serves. Having ministered in churches of all sizes as a Worship Pastor, as well as serving as a high-level Marketing Executive, he combines practical leadership experience with a deep understanding of ministry, organizational growth, and team development.
Being an experienced conference speaker and now a ministry consultant, Matt has led worship ministries, developed leaders, directed large-scale productions, and worked extensively with church technology, production, and organizational strategy. He is known as a builder—someone who helps churches move from where they are to where God is calling them to be.
His leadership philosophy is rooted in biblical principles, relationships, integrity, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to serving the local church. Whether partnering with a church in search of its next ministry leader or encouraging pastors and staff through the challenges of ministry, Matt's desire is the same—to help churches and the people who serve them thrive in everything they do.
Kathy Whitworth
Kathy Whitworth earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She began her career in sales and marketing within the Christian music industry, serving ministers of music and churches across the country. Throughout her career, she held leadership positions with several respected music publishing companies, including Director of Sales for Prism Music, Vice President of Publishing for Diadem Music Group, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Brentwood Benson Music Publishing.
Kathy later founded Access Management, where she spent five years managing Christian artists and speakers. During that time, she worked on the marketing campaigns for the Left Behind movie series and managed national music tours promoting the films' soundtracks. One fact about Kathy that few know is that during her company's five years, she managed three Christian WCW and TNA wrestlers. This was such a great time of ministry, living in a world she knew very little about!
In 2007, Kathy transitioned into healthcare recruiting, accepting a position as a Regional Recruiter with Select Medical, one of the nation's largest providers of outpatient rehabilitation services. In 2019, she joined Confluent Health as Director of Talent Acquisition, where she built and led a national recruiting team and developed strategies that supported the company's continued growth.
After spending 15 years in executive recruiting, Kathy felt God calling her back to ministry. She joined Celebration Ministry Staffing, serving as Chief Operating Officer for two and a half years before beginning the next chapter of her ministry journey.
In 2023, Kathy and Dwight, both widowed, experienced God's remarkable grace as He brought them together. They fell deeply in love, married, and spent two and a half wonderful years thanking God daily for His faithfulness and the unexpected gift of their life together.
When Dwight was suddenly called Home, Kathy was determined to honor the vision that Dwight and his late wife, Debra, had established through Dwight Whitworth & Company. Knowing Dwight's confidence in Matt's leadership, Kathy supported his transition to President of DWC. Today, Kathy serves as Vice President, working alongside Matt each day to continue fulfilling Dwight and Debra's mission of serving churches with excellence, integrity, and a heart for ministry.
Drawing from decades of experience in executive recruiting, leadership, sales, marketing, and ministry, Kathy is passionate about helping churches identify the leaders God has prepared for them and guiding both churches and candidates through one of the most significant decisions in ministry.
